For more than two decades Classé has established an enviable track record, consistently producing high-end audio systems of exceptional performance and value. Our fifth generation of multichannel processors combines the benefits of our vast experience with the latest audio and video technologies. Our newest processors, the SSP-30MkII and SSP-60, share a common processing engine, but differ in features and performance.

Both models are 7.1 channel designs, capable of decoding current discrete surround formats from Dolby® and DTS® as well as numerous surround matrix modes. To accommodate multichannel audio sources such as SACD and DVD Audio, the SSP-30MkII and SSP-60 both feature single-ended 7.1 channel analog inputs. In Classé processors, digital signals are handled with particular care, maintaining the accuracy of our clock as well as the integrity of the data. Motorola® 32-bit processors ensure accurate calculations and contribute to our high resolution results. Eight differential 24-bit multi-bit delta-sigma DACs provide conversion from digital to analog, ensuring high resolution and excellent low level linearity. And consistent with all Classé components, local power supply regulation and filtering are used extensively to optimize circuit performance. The result: sonic precision that unveils the subtle details and nuances that set Classé processors apart.

The SSP-30MkII is a completely single-ended design, where performance and functionality are successfully balanced at a relatively modest cost. Signal paths are kept short and special attention has been paid to circuit layout and grounding. A combination of surface mount and thru-hole parts were selected for their quality and reliability to optimize the performance and longevity of the audio and video circuits.

Owners of the original SSP-30 may upgrade to the Mark II model and enjoy additional surround decoding modes as well as enhanced 7.1 channel analog output capabilities.

SSP-60 processing functions mirror what is offered in the SSP-30 MkII (plus two additional music modes), but audio and video signal path improvements raise performance levels to new heights.
